This second Japanese black tea, "Wakoucha", comes from the Yakushima island in the Kagoshima prefecture. This island was labelled "Universal Natural Heritage" by UNESCO in 1993. 90% of the island is covered by virgin forest with some millenairs trees: one can find Jumon Sugi, a tree estimated to be between 2170 - 7200 years old.
And for the huge fans of Ghibli Studios, this island was used as a model for the settings in Princess Mononke.
This label has the JAS label (Japanese Agricultural Standards).
